Background
Born in the Philippines, I came to the United States at age 11. I come from a very conservative Christian family and I started preaching at age 13. By 17, I was a youth pastor to inner city kids in NYC. I was a licensed nurse at 19 by virtue of cultural origin (if you're a Filipino, you know this to be true!), a teacher at 25 by virtue of passion, and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of New York in my 30s by virtue of my calling.
Observing Human Behavior and Asking, Why?
My everyday life consists of working as a clinical director to amazing behavior clinicians, dedicated behavior techs, and working with committed families with children in the Autism spectrum. This site is dedicated solely to my reflection of everyday human behavior and my own personal thoughts and opinions about my environment. The blog entries reveal a little of my personality. It's not serious, a bit dry-humored, and not in any way shape or form to be taken as entirely clinical gospel truth. I am starting this site on the second month of quarantine here in NYC. Writing has always been my source of escape, my stress reliever, and this serves wonderfully as the platform for all of that. And I hope it helps you reflect and de-stress as well.
Family
Happily married for almost 19 years to another Behaviorist who is pursuing his PhD in Behavior Analysis. I am my husband's most complicated behavior project.
Children
Honored to be the mother of 2 amazing children, my son is entering college; my daughter is entering 8th grade.
